Memorial Day Weekend Schedule for May 26-29, 2023

 Friday, May 26

6-8pm        Naturalist On-Duty – Come see & help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Osprey exhibit.

7pm           Osprey Wagon Tours – Enjoy a FREE Naturalist-led wagon tour to visit two of our nesting Osprey nests here at the park. Learn about these unique birds of prey & get a free sticker. Limited seating. Sign up to reserve your free spot at the Welcome Center.

 Saturday, May 27

9-10am      Naturalist On-Duty – Come see & help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit.

10am-12pm Family Crafts – Bring the whole family and enjoy making your own nature-themed craft. Complete materials and directions to make and take home. Limited supplies so sign up for a time slot at the Welcome Center desk.

1-2pm        Milkweeds & Monarchs – Learn about and explore the unique and colorful Monarch Butterflies at the Welcome Center. Monarchs can appear anywhere often in your own backyard. Take a tour of our native pollinator’s gardens around the park. Stay afterward and plant your own pollinator plant to take home.

2-3pm        Pollinator Plantings – Pick up your seeds, and pot to plant your very own pollinator plant from seed at the Welcome Center. We provide all the materials needed to start your own pollinator plant to help the Bees & Butterflies' diverse habitat.

6-9pm        LIVE Classic Rock Music – Join us for live musical entertainment on stage near the swim beach. Summer Concerts are open to the public and free with gate admission. LIVE Band “SB Music” will be performing Classic Rock music. Sit back, relax, and listen to music. Bring your own chair or blanket.

 

Sunday, May 28

9-10am      Naturalist On-Duty – Come see & help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Welcome Center.

11a-1p      Stream Adventure- Explore the lake & streams looking for stream critters with a naturalist.

9-11pm       Movie at the Lake – Call park office 419.938.7884 for title (PG13)  Beach Swim area
