Saturday, April 1 Welcome Back Seasonal Campers!!!
10am-12pm Traveling Craft for Kids – Look for our traveling program staff on the golf cart as they travel through the camp areas stopping at campsites with 2023 event information and a fun craft kit!
1pm-3pm Bird Beak Buffett - Learn how birds’ special beaks are used for different types of food. We supply the tools (beaks) and food. Start at Nature Center located in Welcome Center.
Saturday, April 8 Happy Easter!!!
10am-12pm Traveling Easter Bunny – Keep an eye out for our Easter Bunny traveling throughout the campground. Have your camera ready to capture fun memories with our Bunny friend!
1:00pm Easter Egg Hunt – Ages 3-15 join us at Shelter House #2 for our Easter Egg Hunt! Over 4,000 candy-filled eggs will be hidden. Age groups will be divided. Bring your own Easter basket or bag to collect eggs!
2pm-3pm Egg Painting Craft for Kids – Bring your plastic egg from the egg hunt and design your own egg to take home. Meet at the Welcome Center!
Saturday, April 15 Happy Earth Day Clean Up
11am-2pm Earth Day Clean-up – Stop by the Welcome Center for gloves and trash bags, then pick up map for areas for litter throughout the park & lake! Bring the bags back and receive a coupon for a FREE night of daily camping!
1pm-2pm Earth Day Craft for Kids/Teens – Make an earth-friendly nature craft to take home. Welcome Center. For ages 8 and up.
2-3:30pm Guided Nature Hike – Discover the Bluebird and the Sycamore Trails! Naturalist-led hike to learn about bluebirds and nature along the trails. Meet at the Welcome Center. Be prepared for a 1.5-mile easy hike.
April 15 through April 23 Earth Day Cleanup Challenge
Can’t make it on April 15? Celebrate Earth Day by visiting the lake on your own to pick up litter. Fill a bag with litter
anytime from April 15-23 and enter a drawing for a chance to win a cooler filled with MWCD prizes and gift
certificate by posting photos on Facebook or Instagram using #MWCDEarthDay2023 and tag the park.
Saturday, April 22 Ohio Boater Education Course
9am-5pm Ohio Boater Education Course for Adults - This free ODNR required course will be led by MWCD Certified Instructors at the Welcome Center. For ages 12 and up. Registration is required online at https://mwcd.ticketleap.co
Friday, April 28- Sunday, April 30- Mohican Wildlife Weekend – Get To Know “H20”
Visit the park and other programming locations across Ashland and Richland Counties to explore a variety of natural and cultural history opportunities. Pleasant Hill will be offering archery range times, gold panning, survival bracelets, guided wagon tours to see the osprey nests, orienteering, bb gun range, and nature education.
