ACTIVITIES for JULY WEEKEND on July 29th-30th,2022

Pick up a list of self-directed activities available to help you explore the park on your own during your visit. Our Park and Naturalist staff are available to assist with any self-directed activities, maps, questions, or programs you may have.

Welcome Center Hours: Sun thru Thurs.-8am-4pm -Fri and Sat - 8am-10pm

Friday, July 22nd

6p-8p- Naturalist On-Duty Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck.

 

Saturday, July 23rd

9a-11a- Naturalist On-Duty Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck

 

10a-11p- Family Crafts-Bring the whole family and enjoy making your own nature-themed craft. Complete materials and directions to make your own craft. Limited supplies so sign up for a time slot at the Welcome Center desk starting Friday at 5pm.

 

11-1p- Taste of the Outdoors- Outdoor Cooking using Dutch ovens and reflector ovens. Taste some wild game, fish, desserts and more. Share recipes and Free Samples. Meet at the campfire ring by the Welcome Center deck.

 

6p-9p- LIVE DJ/Karaoke- Live DJ entertainment on the deck. Bring your friends, family and your singing voice. Sit back, relax and listen to the music and singers by the gas fireplace on the deck.

  • August 12 & 13- Survival Weekend-Archery, Fire-Starting, Orienteering & survival skills
  • August 19 & 20 – Wild West Fest- Pony Rides, Petting Farm, Country Music Jevan Cole & Band
  • August 26 & 27- DJ / Car Cruise-In, First responders Day, Movie on the Lake
  • September 2-4- Labor Day-Live Band Gypsy Stew, DJ Music, Movie on the Lake, and FIREWORKS
  • September 9-11- Bigfoot Basecamp Weekend- Townhall, hikes, crafts, speakers, Movie at the Lake, Tie Dying
