ACTIVITIES for JULY WEEKEND on July 22nd-23rd,2022

Pick up a list of self-directed activities available to help you explore the park on your own during your visit. Our Park and Naturalist staff are available to assist with any self-directed activities, maps, questions, or programs you may have.

Welcome Center Hours: Sun thru Thurs.-8am-4pm -Fri and Sat - 8am-10pm

WHOA ZONE WATER PARK at the swim beach OPEN 12noon-6 pm!  Visit: Whoazone.com for info & online tickets

 

Friday, July 22nd

6p-8p- Naturalist On-Duty Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck.

 

6:30p- Osprey Wagon Tours - Enjoy a Naturalist-led wagon tour to visit two of our nesting Osprey nests here at the park. Learn about these unique birds of prey and other wildlife and the history of Pleasant Hill Lake Park. Limited seating. Sign up at the Welcome Center to reserve your spot. Weather permitting

 

Saturday, July 23rd

9a-11a- Naturalist On-Duty Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck

11a-1p- Family Crafts-Bring the whole family and enjoy making your own nature-themed craft. Complete materials and directions to make your own craft. Limited supplies so sign up for a time slot at the Welcome Center desk starting Friday at 5 pm.

2p- 3 pm Dr. Insecta Magic Stroll- A Traveling Magic show through the campground look for the Naturalist Golf Cart and see Dr. Insecta’s magic wonders. Then go to the welcome center around 3:30 for the LIVE Bug Show.

3:30p-Dr. Insecta Live Bug Show– Live bug show with an up-close look at live insects large and small at Welcome center

 

6p-9p- LIVE DJ/Music Trivia.  Live musical entertainment on the deck. Bring your friends and family and bring your best team for the Trivia game. Sit back and relax and listen to the music.
