PROGRAM ACTIVITIES for Arts in the Park- June 23rd-26th, 2022

Pick up a list of self-directed activities available to help you explore the park on your own during your visit. Our Park and Naturalist staff are available to assist with any self-directed activities, maps, questions, or programs you may have.

Welcome Center Hours: Sun thru Thurs.-8am-4 pm -Fri and Sat - 8 am-10 pm

Thursday, June 23rd

9a-4p-Kids Arts & Adventure Camp: Arts and outdoor fun camp for ages 10-16 Stained glass pendant, Spray & Water paint art. Please register online at mwcd.ticketleap.com

 

Friday, June 24th

6p-8p- Naturalist On-Duty:  Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck.

6:30p- Osprey Wagon Tours: Enjoy a FREE Naturalist-led wagon tour to visit two of our nesting Osprey nests here at the park. Learn about these unique birds of prey and other wildlife and the history of Pleasant Hill Lake Park. Limited seating. Sign up to reserve your free spot on the wagon at Welcome Center. Weather permitting.

 

Saturday, June 25th

9a-10a- Naturalist On-Duty: :Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck

10a-12p- Spray Paint Art: Bring the whole family and enjoy making your own spray-painting artwork. Complete materials and instructions to make your own spray paint art. Limited supplies so sign up for a time slot at the Welcome Center desk.

11a- 1p- Tie Dye T-Shirts: Design and dye your very own custom Pleasant Hill Logo T-Shirt. All ages & sizes. Cost only $10/shirt

1p-3p- Solar Scopes:  Here is your chance to view up close the sun safely through a telescope. Learn about the solar system and more about the sun. Free program

6p-9p- LIVE Music: -Charlie & Friends Band- Bring your family and friends for a great time listening to Classic Country music. Free program on the deck of the Welcome Center.

 

Sunday, June 26th

1p-4p-Learn to Kayak: Program will be held at Charles Mill Lake Park beach area. We provide basic on-water instruction for beginner kayaking and boating safety. Cost $35/ person. Restrictions and limits apply. Register online at mwcd.org/kayaking
