Ohio Boating Education Course (FULL)

If you were born on or after January 1, 1982, Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating safety education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio's Boater Education requirement by taking and passing this approved boating education course or by taking and passing a proficiency exam.

  • Course instructed by Certified MWCD Staff and Rangers 
  • Class held in the Welcome Center Building at Pleasant Hill Lake Park
  • Class from 8:30 am-5:30 pm (8-hour course with a break for lunch)
  • Bring your own lunch. There is a store with drinks and snacks
  • The course is FREE and limited to 25 persons
  • Anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
