Pleasant Hill Lake Park Activity Schedule for Oct. 9TH-10th

HALLOWEEN CAMPOUT

We appreciate your patience and understanding with this new program experience!

Due to COVID-19, we are offering a modified activity schedule. We will utilize virtual options when appropriate and we will offer face-to-face programs when allowed by state guidelines. Please make sure to follow instructions below for registration, as many restrictions apply.

 Sign up for an activity listed below by visiting the Welcome Center / Registration Desk.

Friday, Oct 9th

6pm-9pm          Welcome Center OPEN (Self-Directed Activity) Sign up for the Zombie Archery & Hike for this weekend. Stop by the welcome center and view the 6-minute video of the 80-year history of the park. View the History Corner display in the Welcome Center and learn about the early years of the park’s history. Talk with our Naturalist staff about activities and take & make craft packets we have planned for this Halloween weekend.

                       

7:30-8:30pm    Nature at Night Hike- (Sign-up Required) Relaxing night hike lead by Park Naturalist to discover nature at night. Sign up for hike at the welcome center limited to 9 people, masks recommended.

 

Saturday, Oct 10th

9am-11am        Halloween Family Craft Packets-(take & make) pick up your FREE craft kit. We have a variety of Halloween themed designs to choose with easy to follow directions. Post a picture of your project on Facebook & Instagram with hashtag #PHcraft Limited number of craft kits, first come first serve. All ages welcome.

 

11am-1pm        Zombie Archery Shoot OPEN- (Sign-up Required) Must sign up for time slot & sign wavier at Welcome center Friday night or Saturday morning. Save the campers for the Zombie attack. Try your skill at shooting at Zombies & paper targets. Ages 5+ Beginners welcome. Meet at Shelter House #2.

 

1:30-2:30pm    Trick or Treat Packets- there will be NO public trick-or-treating. However, children under 14 may stop by the welcome center outside deck to pick up a free Halloween goody bag. First come first serve, limited quantities NOTE: This could change with local and state health department guidelines in the future, we will keep this updated: Thanks

 

3pm-4pm          Golf Cart Halloween Parade- (Sign up Required) Sign up and pick up your packet with instructions and guideline details on the                                 parade and route. Sign up at the Welcome Center on Friday and Saturday

5:30-6:30pm    LIVE Birds of Prey - Ohio Bird Sanctuary will be bringing live birds for a up close and personal program on their life histories and                                  interesting facts. Masks recommended and social distancing required. 

6:30-8:00pm    Costume Contests- (Sign up Required Sign up for event times by age groups. Maintain social distancing and face masks                                           recommended especially as part of the costume!

8:00-10pm       Campsite Decorations Display- Decorate your campsite site for all to see. You may drive around and view the campground and see your fellow campers Halloween displays.
