 Pleasant Hill Lake Park Activity Schedule for July 17-19, 2020

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

We appreciate your patience and understanding with this new program experience!

Due to COVID-19, we are offering a modified activity schedule. We will utilize virtual options when appropriate and we will offer face-to-face programs when allowed by state guidelines. Virtual programs through Zoom use a computer or your smartphone. Please make sure to follow instructions below for registration, as many restrictions apply.

Friday, July 17

6pm-8pm          Welcome Center OPEN (Self-Directed Activity) Stop by the welcome center and view the 6-minute video of the over 80-year history of the park. View the History Corner display in the Welcome Center and learn about the early years of the park’s history. Talk with our Naturalist staff about activities and take & make craft packets we have planned for this weekend.

Saturday, July 18

9am-4pm          Campsite Decorating Contest- Get out those Christmas decorations, show your spirt and decorate your        campsite. Campsites judging with prizes and awards for the top three campsites. Have sites ready by 4pm on Saturday for judging

10am-1pm        Gingerbread House Craft- pick up your FREE craft kit. When completed post a picture of your Gingerbread house on Facebook & Instagram with hashtag #PHGingerbreadContest and be a lucky winner for a drawing. Limited number of kits first come first serve. See naturalist at welcome center area for kit and details.

10am-3pm        Scavenger Hunt and Nature Activities- See our naturalist staff for self-directed activities, things to see and do on your own during your visit our Bird Observation Window, Fish Mural, Pollinator Gardens & History Exhibits.

11am-8pm        Food Concessions OPEN- Hot food, cold drinks, rolled Ice Cream and more. Stop by the food trailer located in the welcome center parking lot. Purchase your Historical Soda Pop Collection only $2/bottle. Six Flavors.

5:00pm             Santa Arrives- Santa will be arriving by Jet Ski and maintaining social distance on the lake.

9:30-11pm        Movie at the Lake- CANCELED

NO Fireworks

 Sunday, July 19

9am-2:00pm    Hidden History Boat Tour- (self-directed) Enjoy a kayak tour of Pleasant Hill Lake’s history hidden under the water. Where is Newville and Helltown? Was there an airstrip? Use your own kayak or rent one from the marina. Pick up map at Welcome center or marina.
