Join Pleasant Hill for Independence Weekend with Live Country Rock Music & a Movie at the Lake!
Thursday, July 4th
9-10:00am - Nature Break Room- Naturalist on duty to ask, meet and greet with live animals & displays
10-12noon – Survival Skills- Make your own survival bracelet, food, shelter, learn to start and build a fire using flint & steel. Roast marshmallows and make smores. Meet at Welcome center.
7:00-8:30pm - Sunset Paddle Boarding- Equipment and instruction provided Sign up online $25/person
Friday, July 5th
6:00-8:00 – Nature Room Open- Stop by and see what’s new at the nature break room, with animals & games
8:00-9:00- Osprey Bird Guided tours- Naturalist-led birding tours to see our Osprey nesting platforms by way of tour wagon. Limited seating please sign up at Nature Center or Camp Store.
Saturday, July 6th (All programs are presented at the Welcome Center unless otherwise noted)
9-10am- Lake Yoga- Rise & Shine Yoga Class is a mixed level class offering a mindful, gentle to moderate vinyasa flow with attention to breath. Walk-ins accepted Fees apply Text Sarah at 440-668-3876 to register or information.
10a-12:00p Explorers of Nature – Aquatics/Stream Study Explorers of Nature programs for kids, ages 4-15, to discover the lake & stream for aquatic life, insects and crawdads.
1:00-3:00p Star & Planetarium Come inside the inflatable dome and view the summer skies presented by the Volunteers of the Richland Astronomical Society. Learn about the planets and their history. Enjoyed by all ages
6:30pm-9:30pm LIVE MUSIC: Callunaw Rednecks Southern Rock/Country Band performing music on the beach swimming parking lot area. Come sit and relax to the music at the beach at the lake.
9:30pm-11:00pm- Movie at the Lake: The featured Movie rated PG. The movie will be shown on the Big Screen TV located in the welcome center. Free Popcorn while supply last. Call park office 419-938-7884 for movie title
Sunday, July 7th
9:00-11am- Nature Break Room- Naturalist will be available to meet and greet with live animals Borrow a fishing pole or binoculars to explore the park.
