Trout in the Classroom (TIC) is an environmental education program in which students in grades k-12 . . .

- monitor tank & stream water quality.
- engage in stream habitat study & preservation
- learn to appreciate water resources.
- begin to foster a conservation ethic.
- grow to understand ecosystems, watersheds &water cycle
The trout tank will be located at Pleasant Hill Lake Park with 24/7 video feed of the tank. Uploaded photos, Blogs and videos will be available throughout the project via links on this page. Skype discussions with students/teachers will be set up via PHLive skypeTV, broadcasts will be posted in advance.
The program will be releasing the trout raised in a state-approved stream near the park within the Muskingum Watershed in cooperation with Trout Unlimited Clearfork Chapter and ODNR, Division of Wildlife
During the year each teacher tailors the program to fit his or her curricular needs. Therefore, each program is unique. TIC has interdisciplinary applications in science, social studies, mathematics, language arts, fine arts, and physical education. NOTE: We expect the trout eggs to arrive Thursday, Dec. 1st, 2016
